Tubifex Worms- water needs to be changed everyday cos' TW's might carry some undesirable bacteria
Brine shrimp, a.k.a Artemia-indispensible for feeding the fry of most species
Bloodworms-rich in proteins, a prey much appreciated by carnivorous fish

  1. The ideal diet of a betta fish is 2-3 pellets or flakes everyday once or 1 pellet or flake two times daily. Overfeeding the fish can not only lead to a cloudiness in the water but can also cause the fish to suffer from constipation...

    Didn't know fishes CAN suffer from constipation...

  2. Hahah, however, to condition the fish for breeding, we should feeed them live foods as they usually contain more protein and at the same time, they also simulate the fish's natural environment(:

    Btw,I found out that Betta pellets are made out of crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, crude ash, moisture, phosphorus, certain vitamins, and other ingredients.
